France 4 Naturisme
is committed to the planet
Respecting the environment is one of naturism’s key values. Our group, which encourages you to be at one with nature, does everything possible to harmoniously integrate this into our current website (and member campsites), protecting ecosystems and natural resources, and encouraging every eco-citizen gesture on a daily basis. Reducing our carbon footprint, whilst guaranteeing you the best services, such is the challenge which we rise to every day with delight and pride!
On the Médoc peninsula, in the Gironde, the largest naturist centre in France runs numerous initiatives each year. Solar and LED lighting, with movement sensors, have been put into all sanitary blocks. Water saving taps and EV charging points have also appeared. Lastly, Euronat’s car fleet is moving towards 100% electric.
In the Landes department, between the pine forest and Atlantic Ocean, the Arna team offers various outdoor activities, to make the most of the countryside. Moreover, a fitness trail has been established in the trees. On the facilities front, we welcome push buttons in the aquatic games, which avoids wasting water, and EV charging points. Developing composting is also a key issue: we have incorporated a mechanical composter into the waste sorting area. Each holiday rental offered for hire is equipped with a composting bucket. The compost collected is directly recycled in the vegetable garden through agroecology and permaculture.
Lastly, sustained by a spirit of sharing, the Arna team organizes hikes and walks with the ONF (Office National des Forêts which manages public forests), and cross-country and waste collection days on the beach, with Surfrider Foundation.
On the high plateux in the Essonne department, this naturist campsite is a superb Espace Boisé Classé (designated woodland) of 47 hectares. In this haven of peace, we are actively encouraging electric transport, shown by the recent installation of charging points. We have also created a composting centre and encourage every holidaymaker to engage in waste sorting. Lastly, for the peace of both guests and the countryside, the site is 100% pedestrian.
Making the most of an exceptional location overlooking the Cèze gorges, this naturist campsite has increased the number of pro-environment initiatives. For example, it has a sorting area encouraging recycling, whilst all the taps are fitted with water saving devices. Lastly, favouring soft mobility, the campsite makes electric buggies available to all staff.
Nestling in a setting of Provençal magnificence, Bélézy encourages being close to nature with its educational farm and vegetable garden. New mobile homes, with a lower energy consumption are gradually being installed on-site. In addition, air conditioning in all the accommodation is limited to 20°C during the warmest weather and 25°C during the coldest weather. Outdoor lighting uses LEDs as much as possible, whilst there are specific EV charging points. Furthermore, the site has equipped sanitary blocks and holiday rentals with self-closing taps (with timed flow) and water saving devices. Flower beds are watered using drip irrigation, solely at night. Lastly, a compost bin is made available to guests and the campsite pays particular attention to selective sorting.
On the Isle of Beauty, this naturist resort is an environment with around 40 llamas, which are growing up in relative liberty and are proving fabulous natural lawnmowers! The Jardin des Saveurs (herb garden), offers guests various Corsican aromatic herbs, all organic. Moreover, an innovative geothermal system, installed on the lake, enables the thalassotherapy centre, restaurant and one sanitary block to be heated, whilst minimizing polluting levels of energy consumption. Lastly, two heat pumps use a local renewal energy resource, thus contributing to a sustainable and environmentally friendly approach.
Located in the heart of an area protected from any development by the Conservatoire du Littoral (responsible for protecting natural areas including coasts), this establishment is a genuine pioneer of eco-friendly camping. The numerous initiatives here demonstrate this. Naturally there is waste sorting and reuse and recycling, but also conserving drinking water, recycling waste water for irrigation, using raw water for plant watering, low energy lighting, heat pumps, EVs, biosourced materials, etc. We tackle mosquitoes naturally, whilst biodiversity is preserved with the installation of wood and wire fencing on the dunes and by planting numerous local species on-site each year. Lastly, this resort recently created a new car-free area.
